René Lalique is considered one of the world's finest crystal jewellery designers within the art Deco and Nouveau circles. Lalique crystal is made in the French village of village of Wingen-Sur-Moder.

Lalique is heavily influenced by the natural environment and this is seen in his work. His designs have an elegant simplicity and he pioneered the frosted glass look whereby translucency, depth and relief are displayed to great effect. Keeping with the natural environment theme, many of Lalique's jewellery and crystal vases feature flowers and flowing organic lines.

Today, the Lalique legacy is carried on by his son Marc and granddaughter Marie-Claude Lalique, who continue to refine, as well as expand, on "Le Style Lalique." Lalique uses the most modern manufacturing equipment and techniques, which allows for more than one crystal glass piece to be handcrafted at a time.
